Meet the Walkers, a wealthy, powerful family in California who, when faced with an unexpected crisis, are forced to rediscover the meaning of family in 21st century America.
BROTHERS & SISTERS is an ABC Studios production, and Series 1 has been critically acclaimed. Sally Field won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama series for her role as Nora Walker, while Rachel Griffiths was Emmy nominated for her work on the series. With a stellar ensemble cast, unexpected twists and turns and stand-out performances, Brothers & Sisters will enthrall you from beginning to end.
The first series introduces us to the full Walker clan in the pilot episode entitled Patriarchy. Here presenter Kitty Walker (Calista Flockhart, Ally McBeal) returns to LA for a job interview, and is reunited with estranged mother Nora (Sally Field, ER) after three years. Divided by political ideology, the relationship is strained to say the least, but the rest of the household isn't faring much better.
Eldest sibling Sarah (Rachel Griffiths, Six Feet Under) is having problems with her husband Joe, baby of the family Justin (Dave Annable, Reunion) has a drug problem, and older sibling Tommy (Balthazar Getty, Alias) is knee-deep in the struggling family business. Together with Kevin (Matthew Rhys, The Abduction Club) and Julia (Sarah Jane Morris, Felicity) they gather for a meal to celebrate Kitty's birthday, but the reunion is cut short when patriarch William (Tom Skeritt, Law & Order, The West Wing) suffers a fatal heart attack.
Grief-stricken, the Walkers face an uncertain future as the full state of the family business, Ojai Foods, comes to light, along with deep, dark family secrets...
The full six-disc box set of series one, featuring all 23 episodes and including exclusive bonus material is released on 25th February.
